These Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between Rumboé (hereinafter "the Agency") and its clients. They apply to all travel services organised or sold by Rumboé. Placing a booking constitutes full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The French version of these Terms and Conditions is the legally binding reference. This English translation is provided for informational purposes only.
Rumboé is a travel agency specialising in the design and sale of bespoke journeys, organised tours, and travel packages, in accordance with the French Tourism Code and EU Directive 2015/2302 on package travel.

2.1 Quote — Every trip is subject to a personalised quote valid for 15 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Booking confirmation — A booking becomes firm and binding upon payment of the deposit and signature (electronic or handwritten) of these Terms and Conditions by the client. Rumboé will acknowledge receipt by email within 48 hours.
2.3 Travel documents — Final travel documents (vouchers, tickets, travel booklet) are sent no later than 7 days before departure, subject to full payment of the outstanding balance.
3.1 Prices — All prices are in euros (€) and include all applicable taxes. They cover only the services expressly specified in the validated quote. Personal expenses, gratuities, optional insurance, and visa fees are excluded unless stated otherwise.
3.2 Payment schedule

3.3 Price revision — In accordance with applicable regulations, prices may be revised upward or downward if the following change: transport costs (fuel), taxes and fees, exchange rates. Any increase exceeding 8% of the total price entitles the client to cancel without charge within 14 days. No revision may occur within 20 days of departure.
Any request to modify a confirmed booking (dates, destinations, accommodation, number of participants) must be submitted in writing to Rumboé. Modifications are subject to supplier availability and may incur additional costs, which will be communicated prior to implementation.
All cancellations must be notified in writing to Rumboé. The following cancellation fees apply based on the number of days before departure:

Rumboé strongly recommends taking out travel cancellation insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
6.1 Pre-departure modification — If Rumboé is required to make a substantial change to an essential element of the trip (downgraded accommodation, change of destination, significant itinerary change), the client will be promptly notified and may either accept the modification or cancel and receive a full refund.
6.2 Cancellation by Rumboé — Rumboé reserves the right to cancel a group trip if the minimum required number of participants is not reached, within a reasonable timeframe before departure. In this case, the client will receive a full refund with no penalty.
6.3 Extraordinary circumstances — Rumboé shall not be held liable for cancellations or modifications resulting from unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances (natural disasters, terrorism, pandemics, government restrictions) that make performance of the contract impossible.
7.1 Rumboé's professional liability insurance — Rumboé holds mandatory professional liability insurance as required for licensed travel agencies (details available upon request).
7.2 Recommended client insurance
Insurance options may be offered by Rumboé at the time of booking confirmation. Subscription remains at the client's discretion.
8.1 Rumboé's responsibility — Rumboé is responsible for the proper performance of the services set out in the contract, in accordance with Articles L.211-16 and L.211-17 of the French Tourism Code.

8.3 Travel documents — The client is solely responsible for obtaining their passport, visa, and any required medical certificates. Rumboé may provide indicative guidance, but this does not substitute for verification with the relevant embassies and consulates.
Any complaint relating to service delivery must be reported immediately to the supplier on-site, then confirmed in writing to Rumboé within 30 days of return, at: contact@rumboe.com.
No action may be taken after this deadline.
In the event of an unresolved dispute, the client may refer to a consumer mediator in accordance with Articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
Failing amicable settlement or mediation, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction. These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
